Wedding

I really can't remember the first time I met Laurel, it would have been back when we were kids.  Both our fathers were photographers in Lloydminster, and we both grew around the industry.  So years later when Laurel contacted me about photographing her wedding in Calgary I was so honoured; her father was a great photographer and she also has an amazing eye for photography!

Kim + Landon were married on a gorgeous day at the end of September in Lloydminster.  Seriously we could not have asked for better weather, not only was the sun shining and it was warm, the gorgeous fall leaves were still on the trees!  That time of year you just never know what you will have!  I had so much fun photographing this wedding, Kim, Landon, and their entourage definitely knew how to have a good time and lots of laughs were had!

Cailin and John were married on a gorgeous and very hot day in August.  They had their ceremony at the stunning St. Joseph's Basilica in Edmonton, St. Joseph's has got to be the most gorgeous church I have ever photographed a wedding in.  After the ceremony we went to the UofA for their photos, which is one of my favorite locations for photos in the city.  This couple is seriously stunning! I don't know how I get so lucky to have such beautiful couples to photograph! We had a lot of fun during the photos they even brought their adorable pup Louis for a few shots!

Andrew and Melanie met years ago when they were both campers at the Manitou Lake Bible Camp so what better place could they have chosen for their ceremony and photos than righ back where it started!  What a beautiful location for photos!  There were so many cool places and going down to the lake felt like we were at some exotic beach somewhere other than Saskatchewan.  Andrew and Melanie are such a gorgeous couple and I had so much fun photographing them and their wedding party; there were definitely many laughs that were had! Here are some of my favorites from their gorgeous wedding :)

Amy + Paul were my second wedding of a weekend of back to back weddings in July.  They were married on Sunday July 8th, the date of which four other member's of Amy's family had been married on throughout the years, which I thought was pretty cool!  Their beautiful wedding took place in Amy's hometown of Vermilion with the museum being the main backdrop for photos.  We had a great time during photos, even taking a break to hit up the mini golf course Amy grew up playing and needless to say she managed to win in the few holes her and Paul played!

Michelle and Darek were married on a gorgeous July day at the fabulous Festival Place in Sherwood Park.  It was such a great wedding; the couple looked amazing and the location was so fabulous for photos it was hard to not have an awesome time photographing these two!  I posted their engagement session a few months ago and in case you missed that post, they met while both swimming for the same masters team while they were both attending the U of A and as the cliche goes have been together ever since.

Erin and Tanner were married on a gorgeous day in June.  They decided to do the first look, which is probably one of my favorite parts of a wedding to shoot. There is just something so special about capturing the first time a bride and groom see eachother.  Erin and Tanner are such a gorgeous couple, photographing them was so easy; and I can't lie I love their photos!  We decided to go out to my father's farm for the photos, which is a place I love to photograph, and what a great spot.

Jen and Ben (how cute that their names rhyme!) were married in gorgeous Maui this past May.  This was my first time visiting Maui, and wow what a stunning place; they chose to have their wedding take place at Paradise Point, which is a beautiful home over looking the ocean.  I don't think they could have chosen a better location, there was someting so amazing about overlooking a cliff into the ocean during the ceremony.

Lisha and Sean had a gorgeous spring wedding this past April.  Although it snowed the night before, it didn't even put a damper on this day.  We had so much fun doing the photographs at The Root, a huge thank you to them as they were wonderful and it was a great location for inside photos!  And as the weather had decided to clear it even allowed for Sean and Lisha to go outside for a few fun photos downtown Lloydminster.  Here are some of my favorites from the day, enjoy :)

Echo and Shay were married on a beautiful winter day in February, and what a gorgeous wedding it was.  The decor for the church and reception was beautiful with lots of candles, beautiful winter trees, chandeliers, everything looked amazing down to the smallest details.  Echo being the talented fashionista she is, even designed the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses.  I have now decided when my day comes I will be enlisting her skills!
