Lifestyle

I have gotten to know the Krauss' fairly well over the last couple years as I train for triathlons with Katherine and when it works we enjoy having our coffee dates even sometimes going to a Disney movie! This summer they decided to have another lifestyle session at Loon Lake, where we both have cabins. For this years session we mixed it up a bit, although still taking a family photo on the steps of the cabin we also took their boat out to the sand bar and I had so much fun capturing the kids playing in the water and truely being kids at the lake!

Here is another gorgeous family, The Webb's, who had some beautiful fall photos taken.  It was such a warm and beautiful fall this year which made outdoor photos so much fun!  For this session we went to Bud Miller Park in Lloydminster and had a great time during the photos.  The wonderful thing about Bud Miller is although it is often used for photos there are so many different locations in the park that each session can appear as though it was taken somewhere else.  Well without further ado here are some the highlights from the Webb's fall family lifestyle session.

Here is another gorgeous lake lifestyle family session; this is the Knorr family!  I went out to their cabin at Brightsand Lake, it was my first time out to this area and wow what a gorgeous place.  Plus it couldn't have been a more perfect evening!  It was late August so you never know what the weather is going to be like but it was warm and the lake was so calm; it really was one of those magical summer evenings!  I had so much fun capturing this gorgeous family :)

Here is another wonderful family lifestyle session from out at the lake this past summer.  As mentioned in a previous post, every summer I move my office out to our family cabin at Loon Lake, Sk and offer super fun lake lifestyle sessions.  This family, the Olson's, are actually our neighbours at the lake and I have known pretty much my entire life; in fact they are really my second summer family.  So it was quite awesome when they had the highest bid on my silent auction lifestyle collection at last year's Health Foundation Gala and they chose to have their session out at their cabin.

Sierrah & Seryn are two absolutely adorable girls I had the opportunity to photograph this summer!  Brenda their wonderful mom was looking for something fun with them mostly to celebrate Seryn's 2nd birthday so with that we mind we planned the shoot at a local park in Lloydminster.  I had a blast photographing these two, Seryn is so full of energy and it was great to capture her little personality!  Here are some of my favorites from the session :)

This past summer I once again offered lifestyle sessions out at Loon Lake and surrounding lakes.  Here is the first of some of the awesome lake sessions, the Little family!  Melissa and Michelle decided that for their mom's birthday this year it would be nice to get her some family photos as Melissa lives London, England and Michelle in Montreal, and it is not very often they all get together (even if their husbands were left at home).  And since they were spending a week at their Cabin, what better place for the session than the lake.

This session was actually done in two parts, one out at the Walker family acreage with the whole Walker clan.  Their acreage is so beautiful with so many cool areas that were used for photos.  The second session took place with Jamie and his family in downtown Lloyd.  Jamie happens to have a very cool vintage car that they wanted to use and Andrea was hoping for a vintage and fun feel to the shoot.  This shoot was super fun, with candy popeye smokes, double bubble gum, and an awesome family!  I've posted some of my favorites from both sessions to check out :)

Check out some the fun photos from this awesome family's lifestyle session from downtown Edmonton.  I love mixing park and urban settings for photos!

I love winter lifestyle sessions, portraits in snow can look so gorgeous, so I was quite excited when Kelly contacted me back in January about photographing her beauitful family out at their acreage.  In this climate, winter photos can be very unpleasant if Mother Nature decides to be cruel and send extremely cold temperatures. Fortunately for the Mayner's she was in a kind mood that day and the only complaint came from their kitty Sammy who wasn't fond of having to walk in snow!

Before Christmas my beautiful friend Kristine mentioned she would love to do a cool photoshoot of her and her husband Mark as a five year wedding anniversary gift.  I though it was fabulous gift idea.  Kristine and Mark love to entertain, are passionate about food and drink, and Kristine loves the whole Mad Men trend.  So we decided to do a stylized lifestyle session bringing in all those elements.
