The Hartnell-MacArthur Celebrity Golf Classic

The Hartnell-MacArthur Celebrity Golf Classic

Last week in my hometown of Lloydminster the First Annual Hartnell-MacArthur Celebrity Golf Classic was held.  Scott Hartnell & Clarke MacArthur are two of NHL's finest hockey players and so happen to be from Lloyd so following in the footsteps of Wade Redden and Cory Cross (who held a similar event years ago), a charity golf tournament was organized with the proceeds going to many local charities including one of my favorites the Lloydminster Regional Health Foundation.  I think it's so important to help out the community so I jumped at the chance to donate my time and do the photography for the two day event.  And it was definitely one of the best decisions I made as I had so much fun and got to meet so many amazing people!

The event kicked off with a BBQ at Fountain Tire (The Celebrity Sponser), which was a great way to meet both Clarke and Scott as well as a few other celebrities/athletes that arrived in town early.  That was followed up by an autograph session at the local multiplex and then at then end of the day a meet and greet evening was held for all the golfers and celebrities to mingle and have a good night.  A highlight of that night had to be the performance by Randy of the Trailer Park Boys, it was definitely not PG!  The following day was the main event, the golf tournament, and it could not have been a nicer day - I have the burn to prove that!  I had so much fun driving around capturing candid moments between all the players and the golfers, it was amazing how fast the day went by!  The banquet followed the tournament where silent and live auctions were held and a performance by the talented Aaron Pritchett was had.  It was amazing how much money was raised throughout the two days for such great local organizations.

I've posted some of my favorites from the two days but as there were so many photos here is a link, where you can check out all the photos and if there are any photos that you would like printed just let me know :)

Congrats to the organizers and committee for such a great event and hopefully I will be able to be part of it again next year :)
